Two twentysomething women were arrested for allegedly assaulting a teenage lesbian couple who were kissing at Six Flags New England, Mass Live reports.

According to the victims who were 18 and 19 years old, they went to kiss each other good-bye when they saw a woman staring at them. They asked the woman if there was a problem and the woman, later identified as Damarielys Mukhtar, 29, said she didn't have a problem and was just waiting to pick up her child. The couple began to walk away, but then Mukhtar allegedly shouted, "I wouldn't care about your gay asses anyway."

The couple ignored her and kept walking, but that's when Mukhtar allegedly kept yelling homophobic slurs at them. One of the teenagers then asked again what Mukhtar's problem was, at which point Mukhtar punched her, knocked her over, and began kicking her and pulling her hair. Mukhtar was soon joined by another woman, Nikia L. Butt, 27, who the teenager claims she saw hit her girlfriend.

Once people started gathering around them, the attackers tried to leave in their car, but fortunately officers were able to bring the victims to the parking lot where it was parked to identify the attackers, which they did.

Mukhtar and Butt were arraigned on charges of assault and battery as well as a civil rights violation with injury. Mukhtar was also charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, as one of the victims claimed she saw a knife, though it is unknown if it was used in the attack. Police say one of the victims had a small bloody cut on her nose, which they say was caused by being hit in the face.

Mukhtar was released on $1,000 bail but Butt is still being held in custody without the right to bail.
