During Nicki Minaj's jealousy-inducingperformance with Ariana Grande and Jessie J at the VMAs on Sunday, it quickly became clear that something was up with her dress when she had to hold it closed for her entire performance. Shortly after the show, Nicki confirmed that her barely buttoned-up look was indeed a wardrobe malfunction and not an attempt at avant-garde fashion. "Sorry about my zipper," she wrote on Instagram. She also retweeted a couple of fans who told her the mishap was still a good look and praised her for being a good sport about the whole situation.

In her trademark way, Nicki brushed it all off in a long Instagram post in which she thanked God, her record label, and her "no weak links" team. "As long as a nipple didn't come out to play, I'm fine," she wrote.

UPDATE: Nicki has also added that she wasn't wearing a bra or underwear underneath her malfunctioning dress. "I held on to that dress for DEAR LIFE," she captioned the Nicki/Frozen mash-up below. "Took real commitment."
