Big news Selena fans: Jennifer Lopez will be performing a musical tribute to la reina at this year's Billboard Latin Music Awards (which will air live on Telemundo) on April 30.
It's been 18 years since J.Lo first portrayed Selena in the 1997 biopic of the same name, something J.Lo says inspired her to launch her music career.
"People like that don't come along every day," J.Lo told Billboard. "There is never going to be another Selena. The grace with which she handled the business, the grace with which she handled her life, the humor. Her spirit of loving what she did. Her sense of family. That's the tragedy of everything that happened and why she left such an imprint — because she was gone way too soon."
We're just going to go ahead and file this one under "Best News Ever."
