Janae Marie Kroc, who was formerly known to the world as record-holding bodybuilding star Matt Kroc, recently announced her transition via social media, The Advocate reports

Kroc issued the following statement on her Instagram account to answer many of the questions she's been receiving about her transition since she started posting photos of herself on social media over a year ago.

Many of the articles that are appearing on line are stating that I have already fully transitioned. I have not; I am currently still living life in both genders.  I am trying to wait until my sons are out of high school before moving forward.  This is one hundred percent my decision not theirs...They are amazing young men and the bond we have is unreal...I do identify as both transgender and gender fluid because these are the closest any available labels come to describing who I am...That being said if I am forced to pick a gender I identify with more it is female.

Kroc also issued a statement about her gender on GymFlow, saying, that she identifies as a "total alpha male and transgender" and that she's well aware that transitioning will present new challenges for her.

Still, it seems like she'll have no problems facing them head-on, since she's basically a superhero.
