Rachel Canning, the New Jersey teen who made headlines for trying to sue her parents, is back in the courtroom [via AOL. This time, though, her legal entanglement has taken a sad turn: Canning is filing for a restraining order against her boyfriend. This is the same boyfriend Canning's parents forbade her to see when she initially sued them last year.
According to Canning's father, Sean, Lucas Kitzmiller choked Canning during an argument. She was able to get away and file a domestic violence complaint for a temporary restraining order. A trial is to follow.
Unfortunately in this case, it looks like Canning's parents were wise to implement that no-dating rule.
