In the above photo that was posted to Reddit, a mom shaved her head to support her daughter, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy for stage 4 Neuroblastoma. In an incredibly lovely and touching post, she describes the experience:
This was her first haircut ever, and after this whole experience she gets scared to do even the simplest things (taking a bath, changing her diaper).. I just asked her if she wanted me to do it first, she said yes, then to her it was silly and fun. It made me happy that I could at least do this one scary thing with her, because with everything else I can just hold her hand.
All the tears. What a special little girl with an amazing mom. Let's send all our love and healing thoughts to these two.
