Graffiti artist Casey Nocket aka Creepytings is probably the most-hated woman at the National Park Service right now after she defaced at least 10 national parks in America and posted it on her Instagram [via PetaPixel].

Her graffiti probably would've gone unnoticed if it weren't for two outdoors bloggers who saw her account and ratted her out on the Internet and to authorities.

Nocket had been hitting up places that, judging from her since-removed Instagram and Tumblr, seem to include Yosemite, Death Valley, Crater Lake, Zion, Canyonlands, Rocky Mountain, Grand Canyon, Sequoia Kings, Joshua Tree, and Bryce national parks, and writing her username in acrylic paint.

The National Parks Department has issued the following statement:

The National Park Service is investigating reports of vandalism in at least 10 national parks in Arizona, California, Colorado, Oregon, and Utah.

While we can't discuss details of a case under investigation, we take the issue of vandalism seriously. National parks exist to preserve and protect our nation's natural, cultural and historic heritage for both current and future generations. Vandalism is a violation of the law and it also damages and sometimes destroys often irreplaceable treasures that belong to all Americans.

There are forums for artistic expression in national parks because national parks inspire artistic creativity. These images are outside that forum and outside the law.

Her social media accounts have since been removed.
