A recent study conducted by School of Medical Sciences, University of Campinas in Brazil and published in the journal Advances in Urology found that woman-on-top is the most dangerous sex position [via The Cut

The researchers looked at male injuries specifically (with penile fractures being hands-down the most common), so this isn't a fully comprehensive study. But what researchers found is that 50 percent of men who reported injuries received them during sex during which their female partner was on top. Homosexual men reported a much lower rate of injury, but a few guys managed to seriously hurt themselves masturbating.

Doggy style and man-on-top positions were the other two leading causes of injury, at around 28 and 21 percent each, respectively. Before you swear off being on top forever, just keep in mind that penile injuries are rare. So even though woman-on-top sex is the most dangerous (likely because the penis can slip out and the woman can land on it), it's still not dangerous at all. It's so rare, there really isn't much of a statistic for it. In the 13 years this study was conducted, fewer than 100 people came in with injuries. So carry on banging however you'd like.
