A promo trailer following last night's episode of I Am Cait teased the storylines set to play out in the last few episodes of this season, including Caitlyn's first sit-down with her ex-wife Kris Jenner. And this is a fairly quick turnaround, as while some of the other scenes (Caitlyn's trip to New York for Pride, for example) took place months back, the emotional get-together between Caitlyn and Kris only played out at the very end of July, as E! News noted, adding that Kris was the last of Caitlyn's family to meet her post-transition.
Though both had offered supportive quotes of the other in the press, there are clearly (and understandably) hurt feelings on Kris's part. "You're sensitive and amazing to all these new people in your life," she says, "just not so sensitive to the family you've left behind." And it must be said that Caitlyn doesn't really come across as particularly sympathetic. "Be an ally," she says at one point, and almost cuts Kris off at a later point. The pair also spar over a comment Caitlyn had made about her life with Kris, and Kris specifically, being a "distraction."
