As part of the network's upfronts teasing this fall TV show lineup, FOX has released the first promo for new show Scream Queens. Can we agree it's going to be a campy horror masterpiece?

CBS aired a mostly forgotten show called Harper's Island over the summer back in 2009; its premise saw an island wedding go horribly wrong, thanks to a serial killer (or two, it turned out) in the guests' mix. One, or more, character died every episode as a way of trimming the "whodunnit?" fat. Though it's a totally different setting, Scream Queens promises a similar structure. Across the 15-episode season, the sorority sisters of Kappa Kappa Tau are picked off by a pesky killer who pops up now and then to go about his/her murderous business in a red devil's mask and fetching cape to match. Alongside the deaths each episode, clues will be provided — so set your DVR to take screencaps — and creator Ryan Murphy promises the big killer reveal will play out in the season finale, no fakeouts.

Emma Roberts's HBIC sorority president Chanel Oberlin appears to be a particular treat — live, or die, for her "good evening, idiots" greeting — as does Lea Michele's messy pledge (calling this now as the best use of a "comedic" back brace since Michele Weinberger). Scream Queens is also set to star Keke Palmer, Ariana Grande, Abigail Breslin, Nick Jonas (!!), and original scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis among others. Of course, how long any of these characters last has yet to be determined ... but I'm rooting for Nick Jonas, obviously.
