A screencap that reportedly shows a comment left by Justin Bieber on Kylie Jenner's Instagram page seems to indicate the singer defending Kylie after Hunger Games star Amandla Stenberg accused her of cultural appropriation.

On Sunday, a photo of Kylie wearing her hair in conrows sparked controversy when Amandla took note, reportedly commenting "when u appropriate black features and culture but fail to use ur position of power to help black Americans by directing attention towards ur wigs instead of police brutality or racism #whitegirlsdoitbetter."

Now it seems that Justin Bieber has jumped into things, if this screencap is to be believed. A Kylie and Kendall Jenner fan account on Twitter posted a screenshot of what appears to be Justin's response to the controversy over Kylie's photo:

"Guys leave her alone, were all trying to figure it out and she happens to be under a microscope!" the comment reads. "I'm the first to know this. But saying she's being racist because she wants her hair in braids is ridiculous. lets focus on the bigger picture and instead of fighting over something stupid lets do something about equality, but it doesn't start here blasting a 17 year old kid for wearing braids smh."

While she hasn't directly mentioned Kylie since her remarks became public, Amandla did post a follow-up on Monday to further explain cultural appropriation. She also offered this statement about the public dialogue surrounding the issue:

"End the 'angry black girl' narrative," Amandla wrote. "It's just another attempt to undermine certain perspectives. I have strong opinions. I am not angry."
