Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley announced yesterday that "part of the proceeds" from all DVD sales of the Fast & The Furious 6 will benefit Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW), the charity Paul Walker founded in 2010. (The studio did not provide a specific percentage.) ROWW is "is a network of committed professionals with first responder skill-sets," who provide relief efforts when disasters strike worldwide — and are currently providing assistance in the Philippines following typhoon Haiyan, among other locations.

In a statement accompanying the news, Langley said, "With the passing of Paul, the world has lost a man who spent a great deal of his life in service to others. We share in the deep grief of his family, friends and the countless fans who love him. We [will] keep Paul's memory alive and honor his legacy through continued support." In other moving Walker tributes made last night, Beyoncé dedicated "Halo" and a cover of Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You" to him during a concert at Los Angeles' Staples Center.

And in less charitable ventures, a coffee shop also in L.A. placed two competing tip jars on their counter, each representing a different Paul Walker movie. Tweeting a photo, Jason Biggs described the scene as "exploitative and in poor taste," though later clarified he'd have placed his tip in the Varsity Blues jar.

He's not wrong on either count there, then.
